Until this release, signing in to Agent Base asked for two things: your Agent Base account, and a six-digit PIN you chose for each machine. The PIN existed for one reason — signing in with no internet connection — and that capability was never finished.
So we removed it. You sign in with the email and password you already have. There is nothing else to remember, and nothing on your machine that could be copied and replayed somewhere else: the file that lists who may use an install now holds no credential at all.
What changed for you
- Sign in with your account email and password.
- Forgot it? Use the link on the sign-in screen. It opens the same reset your account already has.
- Inviting someone is now one step. An admin adds their email; they sign in with their own password on their first visit. There is no setup screen in between.
What we gave up, plainly
Offline access. A machine with no connection cannot sign anybody in, and rather than degrade quietly the app says so: a full-screen message asking you to connect. It covers the app — it does not stop it. Nothing you had running is paused, killed or closed, and a session already open keeps working exactly as it would if the wifi had simply dropped.
That trade was deliberate. The old fourteen-day offline window was tied to a credential we no longer wanted on people's machines, and half-finished offline support is worse than none: it fails in ways nobody can predict. If offline comes back, it comes back designed.
